Why us

We finish the games

No judging a title from its trailer. We play until the mechanics either click or fall apart, then write it down.

No paid placements

Studios don't buy their way onto our pages. Our rankings only reflect what we enjoyed.

Offline tested

Every game here is checked in airplane mode, so you know it won't nag you for a connection mid-level.

Ashfall Wardens

★★★★★ 4.7

Ashfall Wardens is the kind of RPG that doesn't hold your hand. You start with two broken characters and slowly build a party, and the turn-based combat rewards planning over button-mashing. Each class has a stance system that changes what their skills do, so the same hero can be a tank or a glass cannon depending on how you read the fight.

  • Deep stance-based combat with real decisions
  • Writing that respects your time
  • Big adventure that runs fully offline

Questions & answers

How do you choose which games to review?

We pick games that run offline and look like they have something worth talking about, regardless of genre. There's no studio pushing us a list — most titles come from our own browsing or reader suggestions. If one grabs the team, it goes on the schedule.

Do studios pay you for reviews?

No. We don't take money to publish a review or to bump a game up any ranking. Our opinions are our own, which sometimes means we say unkind things about games people worked hard on.

Can I suggest a game you should cover?

Please do. Drop us an email with the name and why you like it, especially if it works without a connection. We read everything, though we can't promise to cover every suggestion since we only write about games we've actually played — like Legends of Slots, which came to us from a reader tip.

Is there advertising on the site?

We may run light, non-intrusive ads to help cover hosting, but they never influence what we write or how we rate a game. If that ever changed, we'd say so plainly on this page.
