Iron Tide Command
★★★★☆ 4.3
Iron Tide Command is a compact tactics game. You place units on a hex grid, manage a tiny budget of action points, and try to hold a line against raiders who get smarter every mission. It's slow and thoughtful rather than flashy.
The difficulty curve is well judged. Early maps teach you the ropes, and by the midgame you're juggling archers, barricades and terrain in ways that feel genuinely clever when they work. A single mission is short enough for a coffee break.
It's not the prettiest game on this list, but the systems are tight and it never asked us to be online once.
